    A monthly book club based on fiction that deals with themes in visual arts. This event is free and informal, allowing participants to enjoy a relaxing discussion about their love of reading and art. We'll meet once a month on the first Thursday, from 7 - 8:30pm. Our first book will be "Girl With a Pearl Earring" by Tracy Chevalier.

  • Durham West Spring Studio Tour 2013

    Expect the Unexpected at the Durham West Arts Centre Spring Studio Tour It’s time once again for the Durham West Arts Centre (DWAC) Spring Studio Tour with an expanded roster of 23 artists with an even greater variety of media. Everything from stone carving (Gordon Reidt) to mammoth scrimshaw (Clay James) and raku (Deborah Johnston) to recycled wonders (Lianne Snow) will be on display on this year’s tour. The tour is a virtual treasure hunt as you plan your route to find the work that inspires your own tastes.
