What goes great with warm summer evenings on a patio? Live music of course! Wave Summer Music returns this summer on the second Thursday of June, July and August. Enjoy time with family and friends while you relax on the patio with awesome live music, great food and a cold drink. We’ve got a great lineup this year:

On June 9, back by popular demand, duo Gib&Tam return. They combine powerful, passionate vocals with guitar and percussion for a rich and soulful sound.

July 14 will be a celebration of young Whitby talent as we welcome Annie Sumi and Little Ole Dumplings to the patio. Annie has been described as an “old soul,” with a sound that spans folk, roots and country-rock. Little Ole Dumplings are a duo made up of Jonah Kissoon and Amika Vie who play a quirky blend of alternative and folk.

Finally, on August 11 another fan favourite returns to the patio. The Trish Robb Trio, made up of Trish Robb, Tim Watson and Tracy Stella will delight with their catchy blend of rock, folk, alternative and country.

“Wave Summer Music nights are buzzing and bustling with activity. These events bring the community together. Wave is a great night out where people can relax on the SG patio with a drink, eat delicious food and listen to amazing live music,” says Kerri King, CEO.

“Two stellar exhibitions will be on view during the summer. Keeping it Real showcases artists who are Durham Region-based or strongly connected to the Region and High School Confidential will be a crowd-sourced exhibit featuring artwork created by people of all ages,” says Olex Wlasenko, curator.

Tickets for Wave Summer Music are only $10 per ticket (for each night) and are available at the door, in person at SG, by phone (905-668-4185) or online at whitbystationgallery.com.
