Some Great Force: Wartime Posters from the Wildman Collection
October 20 - November 23 2014

During this centennial year marking the outbreak of the First World War, Station Gallery is proud to present selected posters from the Wildman Collection. These compelling vintage images give a fresh glimpse into Canada's wartime atmosphere. One hundred years ago, the Dominion Government created the Poster War Service to help with the production of propaganda for war-related purposes. We are grateful to Whitby-based collectors, Christine and Craig Wildman for their collecting passion and dedication to this important visual heritage in our nation's history.
