This summer, we’re very excited to pop open a Toronto 20 portfolio that was generously gifted to Station Gallery’s permanent collection last year by Dr. R. Pohlman and L. Pohlman last year—making it the largest permanent collection donation in our 45-year history!

A half century has passed since the Toronto 20 suite gathered the printed works of twenty prominent artists working in Toronto. This portfolio is a true time capsule, giving a glimpse into the diverse art-making practices of the mid-sixties. The U of T Press and five commercial Toronto dealers gathered to produce this snapshot compilation of various printmaking approaches.

Framing of this collection is funded in part through the support of the Elizabeth L. Gordon Art Program, a program of the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation and administered by the Ontario Arts Foundation.

SG also gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the George and Jean Lofthouse Fund at Durham Community Foundation for the presentation of this suite.
